its not super and tend to form hard spots, but its quick and goes well for non stressed pieces in planes.
On airplane models is a great thing to have handy, even because balsa can be a pain to glue with normal glues. On big stuff (even big models of 2 meters more wingspan) its a little too rigid.

Id use it without problems for holding pieces but be careful if its a place youll need to sand after (even worse if youll use stains, just keep it hidden). Softwoods, not at the balsa wood rate, will absorb it not leaving enough for a decent joint, the normal way is to put some on each part to glue and let it dry, that will seal the wood, then put the needed quantity and glue.
