Little off topic but I figure some members also paddle double paddle canoes. Working on a design for a strip canoe. 12-13 feet, sitting on the bottom like in a kayak. Wondering what the he average gunwale height is?

It was suggested that 12" was the normal height in the center of the boat but that seems mighty high if your sitting on the bottom.
