: Hi Bill

: I built an 18ft micro tri I called WaterStrider a couple of years ago. Wanted
: it for days when there was not enough wind for windsurfing. It turned out
: to be a real rocket powered up with a decent rig. I based it on a clc wr18
: and

: Et

Cool :)

Looks like fun. I never managed to go more than maybe 20' on a windsurfer, for me it would have to be called a windswimmer.

A few years back I got a deal on a pair of SolCat 18' catamarans and some extra parts, so have 4 hulls, two sets of tubes for cross braces, three masts and two sets of sails and 3 or 4 rudders and a couple dagger boards. So boat will have alot of sail area, something like 250 ft. Would love to make it longer but have to store the thing somewhere and 20 ft. is about the limit, specially since it'll be on a trailer. This boat will sleep two very friendly people kinda camping style.

If it works out ok I may super size it in a couple years to around 35', make a nice retirement boat, but I'd have to rent a shop to build that one.
