: Nice shots, Tom, but that ain't no stinkin' river, Muchacho. Let's see some
: shots of Westwater or Cataract... ;-)

True, but the S. Platte is near my home and the others aren't :)

The pics are from different times along the river, and I've never camped there
since it's so close to my house. There are limited places to camp or paddle
due to fences blocking access, no trespassing signs, and lines "across the
river" in places.

The Bailey to Pine stretch of the North Fork is quite challenging, and beyond
my skill level. The Buffalo Creek to Foxton to the Confluence is generally
open to paddling ( North Fork) though there are both natural and man made
restrictions.

From Deckers ( South Platte) to the Confluence down to the reservoir is open
in places , but restrictions are in place there also. There is some camping
along this stretch.

The Arkansas and Colorado offer much greater access to paddling due to
litigation on the issue of public access. I've paddled both but it was many
years ago. I plan to get back into it this Spring....as flatwater paddling has
it's limits in Colorado.

Below is the Link I made yesterday.
