: Tried out my first two Greenland Paddles this weekend. Promptly found a flaw
: in my first one. SNAP! Used the second one a while and man does it feel
: different! I didn't get to use it long because I didn't have a skirt and
: it was soaking me. It was way to cold to paddle in wet pants so I had to
: switch to a Euro paddle with drip rings. Once I get my boat built I will
: be buying and using a skirt.
: So, has anyone found a effective way to control dripping on the GP? My
: thoughts were maybe a notch in the blade or tying a fancy knot out of some
: string on the blade.
Hi Jeff,
The two methods you mentioned work to a degree, more of a reduction of the drips. I usually use my hands as drip stops. I mostly wear gloves and the water runs down the heel of my glove, along the OUTSIDE of my jacket sleeve and off my elbow.
At least I've never noticed drips falling on my lap when paddling, my skirt is usually a bit pooled with water anyway.
It's a wet hobby.
And wear neo or drysuits and stay warm.
