One reason: Quality control. The commercial sheet stuff is uniform. I need even density and zero voids or abnormalities. There are some 2 part pourables made for molding use that would be OK - but similar trouble finding them.

I can get a more generic pourable stuff locally in a few densities and may end up going that way.
