Tripp
As mentioned in other comments, this has been my way of turning out prototypes for a number of years now. Normally I strip a hull in three or four hours, a deck in sligthly less. There are no problems associated with sanding, provided you have been careful setting up the molds. My way is to remove surface epoxy with a angle grinder (40 grit - 20 minutes), then remove the circular scratches with a belt sander (40 grit - 30 minutes), and finish with the sanding board (40 and 80 grit - approx 2 hrs).
Of course the result is a little more "rustic" then carefully fitted bead-and-cove strips. There will be small gaps between strips (typically 1-3 tenth of a millimeter), but as these are darker then the surrounding wood and follow the sheer they does not in my opinion detract visually from the hull - and of course of no consequence at all on a painted hull.
I was not happy with Brightside. It scratched far too easily (at least for my type of usage), and in the end I removed it and refinished with two-pot uretane (International Perfection).
The page in the link provided above is recently translated. I am not sure it was available in English last time we had contact.
Cheers
Björn
