Btw, I agree with you, changing the dimmensions will result in a different boat, same advice I'd offer. It's just a heck of alot easier to change the kayaks dimmensions than to change mine

I'm going to build a traditional SOF (well as traditional as we can relistically do it now days, don't have alot of wild seals or tame ones for that matter) so I thought I'd at least start with a design that I like. I've already got a 19" wide kayak that I can barely wedge myself into (well I could last fall, not tried since) and it's going to take a season or two to get used to the width and get comfortable with it. I'd really like a boat that is more all around for this one. I'm very comfy now with the 21" wide NDK Greenlander just would like one that doesn't test my stamina every time I try to lift it

So...I'm gonna try to slightly modify the MacMillian design to better accomodate my size and try to keep the ratios the same. It's an awfully pretty boat, hate to mess that up. I've done quite a few designs in the past myself, just not kayaks, but not sure I can improve on that one.
