Interesting Pedro... On bare soft woods I haven't seen a need to go past 120. On bare hardwoods I go up to 180. I start with 50 grit on the ROS, followed by 60 on a long board, wet down, 80 with both (ROS and hand), wet down again, 120 with both and then 180 on the ROS for hardwoods. Seems to work well for me...
: If I remember correctly, I now use 60, 100, 150, and 220
: on the bare wood.
