Nice work, Matthew! Very nice contrasting colors.

Do yourself a favor, use good varnish or clear coat. WRC will darken and fade. I used Varathane water-based spar on my son's kayak, and it went from a nice three-shade combination to barely two shades. Here's a picture of his kayak when the deck was first glassed. Now, you can barely tell the difference between the darker strips and the rest of the wood.
