: I - finally! - finished and floated my Tom Yost designed SeaTour 15R today.
: It took me all of 2 and a half weeks to build. Well, that much spread out
: over a year and a half! Yes, I started this puppy in Oct of 2006!

: I've been kinda busy . . . .

: Anyway, I spent the last two days finishing the details, and today I took it
: out for a short spin around the lake. It floats! I found it to be very
: comfy, with just the right amount of stability. I avoided testing the
: secondary stability, however - that water is still pretty cold! Didn't
: notice any weathercocking, but there wasn't much wind. So far, I'm very
: happy with it!

: It's a Sea Tour 15R - that I made 16' long for some reason that I can no
: longer recall! It's a folder, which means comes apart and fits in a large
: backpack, so I can take it on a plane with me. It has aluminum tube
: stringers and HDPE cross sections, a Coverlight PVC skin, a free standing
: two-piece aluminum coaming, zippered back deck with a velcroed storm flap,
: full deck rigging, and braided carrying handles.
