I've yet to see a Basking shark, but I have swum or dived with a number of Whale sharks and they look very big when your're swimming next to them.

I wasn't looking for this, but oddly enough I stumbled onto it today

Personally I don't think I would take his claims too seriously, I haven't heard any other diving source recommending these suits.
