China is just people run by a really crummy government. I'm old enough to remember when "made in Japan" was junk. Would it bother anyone as much if the kayak companies were sending their manufacturing over to Hungry or Ireland? USA just stood there and watched as our manufacturing base got slaughtered by foreign competition simply because it didn't want to rock the power structure that was feeding them - big corporations. This stuff has been going on since the end of WWII.

Poor countries are just doing what all countries have done including us - exploiting cheap labor to countries who have more money. Remember the cotton trade? How much were they paying their workers - 0.
