I would agree whole heartedly with Dan. I have used a router and had good success with the bead & cove. However, I had the opportunity to help a friend that was using a shaper to do his strips and some for me. It was a dream job compared to the router. If you have to buy the cutters/bits, I'd suggest going with the shaper. The little extra in cost is far out-weighed by the ease of the job.
