: whats the cheapest hull you have built?
: and i dont mean things like a quick frame in saran wrap or a 6 hours canoe
I prefer inexpensive to "Cheap"...
For under $400.00US you can build an inflatable / folder hybrid using 3
aluminum stringers, a PVC skin, and 4 homebuilt PVC sponsons. It's more
expensive to build than a wood frame non-folder, but a "folding kayak" may
be worth a bit more money based on it's greater utility, especially one that
assembles in 10 minutes or less.
The Sonnet 17.5 ( 17.5' X 23") in the Link was just completed in Dundee,
Scotland. It will be used for a multiple day tour along the Turkish coast
in August.
Fly there...Paddle...Fly home !
