As this is my first kayak, and I am also a novice kayaker I am probably not the one to ask. I am going to round the shear line (which is optional on the plans) Other than that I plan to follow the plans. However, I don't see why you couldn't round it, and hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

: CLC. I am not fond of the peaked deck and I am thinking of rounding it.
: What do you think about it? Is there any advantage to the peaked design?
