Looks almost exactly like the North Sask bout this time of year, cept that I can't get on the water yet, the shores still have a wee bit too much ice on them and the open water areas are largely still a bit narrow.

Hey, if you want to join me for part of the run along the North Sask this year, say from North Battleford to the Forks (or further), let me know.

Elliot, my Alaskan (formerly Edmonton) paddling partner is considering coming down from some little island way up there where he works, to join me for this years leg. I think the last leg of the North Sask will be something like 850-kms. If I do that stretch in good time then I am also thinking of doing the length of Lake Winnipeg, unless Ken SUtherland and I opt for some other spot to paddle. He'll be meeting me at the north end of Lake Winnipeg, if and only if, I get there in time for him to do a reasonable paddle.

Could be fun having a lot of builders together out in the wilderness with fishing rods and Guinness on stand-by.
