Following this thread with interest since I am curious about ocean vs. keyhole cockpits, too...
I've paddled kayaks with the keyhole, the QCC 600 being the most comfortable and the Eddyline Merlin LT being the least, but only one ocean style, an Action Fish Element design.
I did not catch a comment on paddling with the "knees up" style that I use in my surfski. I found this impossible in the Action Fish kayak, but perhaps that boat was stock and not fit to me.
Is it possible to paddle "knees up" with an ocean style cockpit? Does this have more to do with the deck height?
