I built a boat at Cape Falcon - it is covered with 12 oz. nylon and the 2-part urethane coating from Spirit Line:

So far, it's been very durable, and I know Brian really beats the crap out of his boats and it holds up. They also sell a nice foam seat that I use, and now online instructions for their products.
