My fellow seafarers in Guam are building a monstrosety of a sailing canoe! Check out this bow shot...notice the stiching holding the planks to the hull...which was dug out from a log...the guys in the photo aren't the entire crew, which is comprised of a number of top notch boat builders, of all ages and both genders...they are a family...They are mentored by a Master Navigator, Manny Sikau, ordained a Navigator, and a Navigator's son...the boat his father built is still in use, her name's the Quest.

Check out the shop...they call it an Utt...where the spirits of the sea come together to engage the builders in their craft. Check out their web site at www.traditionalseafarers.com for more...you'll see a completed mini version of a proa...Geftao...or gratitude is what they named her...and Quest...and the Utt in various stages of development.
The thing about these boats is the method goes more like a skin on frame...no plans per say, but consistently producing a beautiful boat.
