A friend of mine has a slalom K1. The top looks painted and the bottom has the visible checkerboard weave of the fabric. It's probably carbon fiber. The bottom looks dull as if it needs a new coat of something. Would that "something" be marine varnish -- or something else (like resin)? Thanks.
