Be aware that the Morris measurements make an oversized boat. With your body dimensions it will be big. Really big! Take a look at Chris Cunningham's book and compare the anthropometric measurements to the Morris book. You'll be amazed at how much they differ.

: Not to worry... I just use my tennis shoes to make sure I've sized the boat
: well enough. Depending on the boat and what type of water I'm in, I have
: water shoes, wet suit booties, or neoprene socks. I found it somewhat
: interesting that a few of the pictures in Morris' book showed folks test
: sitting their boats with what appear to be lug sole hiking boots!

: But alas, after getting used to needing a big vehicle, mail order shoes, and
: all the other wonderful stuff that goes along with being slightly larger
: than the average person, I just didn't want to go on another 10 mile
: paddle and wind up walking like a duck! At least in building a boat,
: there's something I can do about it!

: This thread started out being about a strip boat. I looked into strip built,
: and stitch and glue kits. I still drool over the CLC catalog. But I
: settled on the skin on frame specifically because of my size 16 feet.
