: Kim, you run this site??? Those windriders are really nice looking
: boats...I've seen pictures of the "hydrofoil" model, and I have
: to say, that seems like a lot of fun. The next project I want to begin
: (though who knows when I'll get to it!) will be a sailing boat...some of
: the hardware the windriders use might be compatible...a couple of things
: though, I don't know anything about sailing, and the design I want to
: build is also kind of foreign. Anyway, I like the windrider designs, and I
: liked the forum you linked.
: Cruz, W.F.

Yes, I administer the windriderforum site. The original co. was about to ban me from their site for reasons I don't need to bring up. I was told if I didn't like how things were to start my own site. So I did. I rivaled the co. site for a spell. Unfortunately for them, I kept security updates, they didn't. A virus aimed at phpBB went around the world and wiped them out. They did not keep a backup. Later, a great team bought the co. and asked if I would keep running the forum. So, unofficially it is the co. forum. They link their page to the forum but do run a disclaimer that it is a site run by WindRider owners and not the co. Back to the boats. I owned a Rave hydrofoil for a year. Foiling is fun but I went back to the WR17 to have a more everyday boat. Go for it. Sailing is not hard to pick up. The more wind the faster you go. Have questions stop on over. Originally I used the phpBB software but they did not have a good way to stop spammers. I switched to SMF. About the only work I have to do is backups and to stop spammers I manually OK each new member. Thanks for the compliment on the forum.

I also love the Sawmill Creek site.
