In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: Which polyurethanes are good on nylon? (Erin Hurst)
: What are some other good oil based exterior polyurethanes? I am trying to
: finish up the boat in the next week so I can take it with me when I travel
: the following week.
: Also, if I don't let it cure till its totally hard (for better cohesion with
: the next coat), do I need to sand between coats?
I've used Dura-Tuff with very good results, though I don't believe it is oil based. It is very easy to use. It drys very fast, roughly 2 hours between coats so you can finish in one day. Watch out for drips because they become permanent very fast.
