I too know people that have had severe side effects from prolonged exposure to dust & fumes. It's a good motivator to pay attention.

The hose takes some getting used to, but workable. I ended up dumping one batch of finish on the floor by snagging it with the hose. Lesson is keep your path clear. I suspended the King from the ceiling and stepped under it as I put on the finish.

I used a foam brush so there were no issues with overspray foggin up the lense. It came with peel-off covers to deal with overspray. They tended to distort the view so I didn't use them.

The blower is a bit noisy, but no worse than any other power tool. It is important to consider where you place it to make sure you are getting fresh air blown in.
