In Response To: Strip: Foam or other alternative to woodstrip (Andrew Bennett)
I've been considering this as well. The only problem I've heard (read) mentioned on some website/blog was that bubbles formed beneath the fiberglass skin during an exceptionally hot, extended time one summer on the water. The thought was that the air trapped in the foam had expanded, the bubbled areas went away when the boat cooled off.
: Hi there, can anyone tell me if there are practical alternatives to wooden
: strips ie foam?
