Yes i wanted to increase displacement weight about 20 lbs and 1/4" was a guesstimate.
I believe my error is that the bow having so much more area than the stern..
got a bigger increase in volume than the stern...and i figure the correct way to give the stern more volume is to move the CG forward.
Anyhow the 15lbs i added to the bow today sure made it handle a lot better
and i just learned a heck of lot about CG and CoB and initial stablity.
i almost think i could design a boat...
