If we are talking "Ounces..." I would rather not have holes too.
Then I should eat, one less 1/2 pound of food a week, or other junk that I do...
That would add a lot less to my total "On the water weight." for
every time out... As for the total ounces...
I could carry one less 1/2 cup of bottle of water & equal the same
as for the "Holes in my kayak" That I would rather not have.
We stress over 1/64th of an inch, ( or 0.039 687 5 centimeter, whet ever.)
(And if I go to the toilet before I paddle, I'm way under weight...)

: I'd Rather carry a couple of extra ounces and avoid any holes in my hull.
