Hi patrick,

Now that I see you want the stability for fishing, maybe this will help. If you have a flat enough deck you could use the Greenland approach and use a couple of paddles to help stabilize you. I take a storm paddle with me as a spare, and can achieve tremendous stability by locking a paddle both port and starboard under my deck toggles as outriggers. A very small piece of foam or a paddle float helps even more at the end of each paddle. Doing it this way I don't need to carry and more gear than normal.
