Ok, no one seems to want to answer this, so I'll give it a shot. I don't do it this way, but if the boat is lightly constructed and the ends only have the strips glued to each other, ie: tiny glue area, then end pours can be important since it's nearly impossible to glass the ends of the boat (on the inside) and to gain any real strength there the end pour is a substitute for glassing. So, the end pour is not just for the toggles.
