I had seen that site before, but was turned off by the material make-up - asphalt emulsion. I think that is the same as mastic used in roofing applications, which I'm pretty sure has been used for SOF skins.

The EPDM rubber seems to be similar to hypalon (and better than neoprene according to their sales pitch...) but is only available in black or white. The "Liquid Rubber" version doesn't need a catalyst, which would make it easier to apply. I'm not sure if you can thin it to help the first coat better adhere to fabric (I would guess that the viscosity is quite high). Using a rot-resistant fabric, an EPDM skin might outlast the frame (even if the fabric rotted away, it might still be serviceable!) Its not as expensive as neoprene or hypalon, for what its worth.
