: Etienne, what type of varnish do you use, and how thick are the foam rollers?
The rollers are about an eighth of an inch. The foam is fairly dense. These are 7 inch rollers. I use one per coat.
I think the varnish goes on a bit thicker, but you can roll it out thin if you spread it further. The schooner sets up quite quickly so sags are not a problem. The only placer I ever get sags is around fittings where I have had to use a brush.???
The picture shows the overcoating times. One month maximum without sanding.
The schooner adheres very well to cured epoxy and is quite tough. UV seems to be OK too. It is very easy to apply (very forgiving) that is why I use it.
