4... A good observation: Apart from Stitch and glue, the forms and stations are the very foundation of the boat. Any boat, from an Americas Cup Yacht to a kayak. You cannot take too much care getting them as perfect as possible, even though they are not left in the final product. I know, I know. in SoF they are left in.

9... I have found if you use a length of the flat-oval grey 3 core electrical flex as a buffer under your staples in a kind of zig zag accross the hull, you can get most of the staples out by just pulling the flex up popping the staples one by one. Having said that I no longer use staples. I have taken to using thin panel pins, leaving the heads proud for the pliers later. They cause less damage to the timber, and one hole on every plank is better than two.
