Recently and CLC's OkoumeFest JB Currell of MAS Epoxies suggested adding approximately 1 tablespoon of Cabosil to 4 ounces of mixed resin used on fill coats to help control the surface tension of the resin. He feels that this reduces the chance of fish-eye and orange peel caused by surface contamination and other factors. He says that the coating will still be clear and will go on more smoothly.

I do not have any experience with this technique but it is being recommended an epoxy manufacturer who wants his customers to be happy with the results. I would do some experiments before going to the this technique, but it sounds like it is worth investigating.
