You've given me an idea. I guess you could simply push a pipe from the back compartment along the centre line under the seat, or from the front compartment through the front bulkhead, and let it extend into the cockpit. It wouldn't have to extend beyond the seat or front bulkhead, only go through it.
The only problem remains how to contain and fix the set up. I'm not sure that he has a foam bulkhead, but even if he has I can always glass one side of it and let the bolts protrude through it back into the compartment.
