I'm posting this here because I figure I can get the best response. I leave for my big river trip on May 31 (this Saturday) so I need timely ideas. I have all of my stuff packed and it looks like I have room to spare under the hatches. For those of you who don't know what I am up to, let me inform you now. I am paddling between 900 - 1500 kms along the North Saskatchewan River in Canada. I have given myself 3 weeks to do the trip, that includes travel time to put-in and back home. I have already done 1200-kms of the initial stretch of river. That section of the trip took a total of 11.5 days and included some pretty awful conditions as well as idylic conditions.

This year I will complete the fresh water (river/lakes) section of my cross-Canada kayaking trek. I was thinking that since I have some extra room under the hatches, I could take something extra, be it a food treat or more Guinness (already got 12 cans packed and ready to go). Do any of you fine folks have any ideas that I can consider?
