: I was going to suggest beef jerky but then I remembered that you have a
: problem with this product. One of these days I will have to make some of
: my homemade beef jerky and ship you a sample. I use no preservatives so
: maybe it won't cause you any problems. Perhaps you could take along some
: dried fruit and nuts. That usually helps me get through a day of fishing.
: Also, don't underestimate your needs in fresh water. There might be some
: spots where it won't be easily accessible.

I forgot to mention that I am bringing along a well used Sweetwater filteration system, complete with two spare filters. I can take water out of the worst puddle and make it good (using the chlorine drops).
