The key point here is that if you attach sections 1 and 8 firmly to the strongback, and fit the sheer stringers, then they will correctly determine the height of the other sections. The sections just will end up at the right height, like it or not. No need to weight sections or push or pull them into place.

This is both much less work than trying to set them all up the the perfect height and pretty much foolproof. The sheer stringer will naturally be in perfefct fair curve.

I'm sure Tom will correct me if I'm wrong!

If you give it a go it will all make sense.
