: Daryl-- My Night Heron plans say to "NOT cut a strongback hole in forms
: 2 & 16" suggesting that these forms sit at the end of the
: strongback. If they are both 1/2 inch thick, the thickness of forms 2
: & 16 plus the 13'-11" strongback will equal 14 feet between the
: control surfaces of forms 2 & 16.

: I also checked the spacing for forms in the cockpit area and on my plans the
: spacing is 12" making a slight allowance for the vagueries of
: reproduction. Either way, it's not terribly critical which side of the
: form lines you place the centermost forms on, since the sides are nearly
: parallel at that point.

Thanks Mike, I think there must have been a glitch somewhere between Nick's design and CLC's production. I bought the plans with the pre-cut forms because there is only $10.00 difference with or without the forms. Forms 2 and 16 are cut out to fit over the strong back. I am just going to leave the strong back at 14'.
