Fair enough, we can use my boat as a test. I just redid an area on the deck last night. Had to sand down some bruised glass to the bare wood. (When I strapped the deck down to get it back in shape, the force on the straps did something to the glass and left white spots.)

I will be ready for varnish this week. We can see how it hold up as opposed to the rest of the boat which has been done for close to a month now.
