Been there, done that. Not on a kayak though. Glued my hair to my beard. I got a shorter beard now. I almost look civilised now.
Vinegar didn't work, by the time I realised, the epoxy had set solid.

I'm a lot more careful now. I'll not be gluing a hat to my head soon.

More seriously, wearing a hat, skullcap type, is a good thing as well. Keeps resin out of your hair and if it's long, tie it back and tuck it in under the hat.
