Thanks for the reply. It's sort of unfortunate both sides are good to go - I hate decisions of style like this. On both sheets one face has broad, clean lines, while the other face has more swirls and waves. Maybe I'll do something different like one half of the boat with one style and the other with the other style - it would probably just end up looking like a mistake though.

I'll definitely be keeping you all posted. I plan on keeping some sort of blog/website/online journal to document the project. Along the way, I may do some 'buildalongs' so that newbies can learn from another newbie's mistakes.
