I am working on building a catamaran kayak prototype and need a seat that can hang between the two hulls. I figure a standard hung seat should do the job. The seat will hang off rails along the tops of both hulls, with the bottom clear of the waterline. I think a longer seat would be nice, both for more thigh support and for some extra protection from splashing. I am also designing a footboard to be hung from the hulls similarly which will be connected to the seat so the entire seat-footboard assemble will be slideable to change trim.

Any suggestions for a comfortable hung seat that might work? The hung seat in my Current Designs boat is actually quite comfortable. So I have a least one candidate, but it looks like a somewhat heavy assembly. Thanks, Carl
