: Anyone use this saw?
: I've got an older Craftsman table saw that works fine, but it's too big for
: the current shop, really in the way (ok I've got too much stuff ). I've
: been looking at this portable saw that can go away easily when not in use.
: Any opinions? Not for heavy use btw, mostly just ripping strips etc.

I have an older version of this saw - about 3-4 years old. It's handy to set up/take down and move. Not too powerful - I smoked the on/off switch once cutting strips. Probably overloaded the saw and the high current fused the switch contacts so you could not turn the saw off!!!
New switch was about $40 shipped, so consider that when you look at better/pricier tools - you get what you pay for.
The small table and fence do need to be extended/messed with to get repeatable strips. I've used the saw a lot and it's handy, but I do not consider it a highly accurate tool capable of precision cutting.
