: I apologize for asking a question I'm sure is in Nick's book - but the book
: is at home and I find myself at a client within blocks of one of the
: store's that sells Sivertip epoxy. To save myself another 40 mile RT to
: buy it I was hoping someone here might tell me: How much epoxy and
: hardener will I need for the Guillemot?
: Thanks!
I used a bit more for my Night Heron- probably 1 3/4, but here's why, and why I'm posting- I bought a gallon of West 207 for the exterior, but it's really expensive, so I got a gallon of USC for the interior. I used the layup method from West's Epoxyworks magazine (Back Issue #16, on their web site), which probably uses more epoxy than other methods. So, I actually used a bit more than a gallon and I had to buy more. Pretty spendy. But the interior didn't have any fill coats w/6oz fabric, and I barely used any. It was a bummer, but if you're using all one kind of epoxy you won't face this problem.
