OK, how the heck would you do that? I assume you would use a coping saw or some other hand saw to trim it with? Now I am a big hand tool fan but to me trimming it after it was on the boat would seem a lot harder than just doing it off the boat.
Plus it seems it would be harder to locate the lip and glue it up on the boat. Or are you talking about trimming it to height and then building the lip?
My reasoning was simple. Now this is my first coaming but it just seemed logical to make it off the boat and then install it. What can I say? It worked for me. What your saying "sounds" much harder to me. But what do I know?? Tell me how you do it. I am open to learning a new trick! Maybe I did it the hard way.
