In Response To: Material: Gelcoat repair on kevlar hull (Doug Manfred)

: Looking to repair two small (quarter size) areas of gelcoat on my kevlar
: surfski. I have done gelcoat repair on fiberglass but read somewhere that
: polyester will not adhere to Kevlar. Is there a product sold that will
: adhere to the kevlar and give a fairly finished look or will I just have
: to use paint. Thanks for any help.

The only problem you'll likely have is you can't sand kevlar without it making a mess, it all fuzzes up and won't lay flat. Getting a decent bond without sanding is the trick.
