What size is you cockpit now? Betsy Bay uses a 16" x 22 1/2" which is a tad larger than the Valley OC. And you can get spray skirts from them. The ratio of the front deck height and rear deck height is the determining factor as to the easy of entering. Boats that are very flat are a lot tougher to slide into than one with a normal deck height an low back deck.
