Hi Charlie,
Thanks for the interest. At some point, I'd like to do a writeup for those pictures and many more which were omitted. I took down the steps by first running down a power planer at its smallest setting. Once it was roughed out, I switched to a random orbital at 60 grit then 100 grit, and finished off with 120 wrapped around a 1x6 or 1x8.
