Hi Simeon, See this post above. By adding a solid tube over the cable in front of the control box and attached to a pivoting pedal, you could have a choice of foot or hand operated. If the cable is placed in an oversize tube you would have a little play in the pedal so it doesn't move the skeg with minor movement of your foot. System itself is very free and smooth. With hand operation only some artificial resistance will need to be added to hold position. This can be easily done by curving the cable housing in front of the slider box.
